48 Hours in St.louis, mo

St. Louis has officially grown on me. As a Kansas Citian, those words are HARD to type - the rivalry between the two cities will be studied one day. Nonetheless, here are 8 things you can do for a weekend in St. Louis!

The beautiful thing about living near a major city like St. Louis is the ability to compare and contrast all of the things we have that they don’t… hehe… but really, there are some gems that St. Louis has that I think about often. One of those gems is Club Viva. When I say this club is *magical* … it is what I thought clubbing would be like growing up and watching movies - people are on the dance floor, strangers become temporary dance partners, no one is standing on the wall like an awkward middle school dance. It’s truly magical!

This time around, I can proudly say that I’ve added a few more gems to my list.

  1. Pop in for the bubbly or a yummy chocolate dessert

POP is a sparkling bar and restaurant located at 1915 park avenue
st. louis mo 63104
in Lafayette Square. They serve small bites and delicious sweets that will start your night off right. I dined upstairs at the chocolate bar and ordered the Cafe Mocha (pictured above) and the Fraisier Cake. Might I say… the chef’s know what they’re doing! Additionally, the ambiance of the chocolate bar was very mindful, very demure as the girlies say these days.

IMO: This would be a perfect spot for an intimate date night whether that’s date 1 or date 100… the restaurant offered a sweet and sexy vibe that pairs well with their menu.

2. Dance the night away at Club Viva

Listen, Club Viva has my heart. Located at 408 N Euclid Ave, St. Louis, MO 63108 in the Central West End, Viva offers salsa and bachata lessons and has dedicated Latin and Reggae nights every week. If you’re looking to let loose and have fun without worrying about people standing around waiting for someone to make a move, put your most comfortable dancing shoes on with your little black dress and be prepared to dance! This is a perfect girls night location and they don’t close until 1:30!

"Get up here! Let's dance. Let's dance"

3. Breakfast at Tiffany’s! ( Polite Society)

I love a good brunch. Do you love a good brunch? I mean seriously, who doesn’t love a good brunch! Circle back to Lafayette Square and start your day at 1923 Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63104. This spot is quaint and cute and can definitely accommodate your don’t-see-me-im-hungover fit to the yes-i-just-got-out-of-church to the oo-my-ex-might-see-me :p you get it. Polite Society is a cozy brunch spot ready to be visited.

4. shop local at The Foundry (City foundry stl)

The Foundry, located at 3730 Foundry Way, St. Louis, MO 63110 offers shopping, food and a little bit of entertainment for a one stop shop when you don’t want to think too hard about what to do. They have a wide array of food options from dessert to pizza to boba. For the shoppers, get ready for some local products, vintage clothing, jewelry and more! - Oh, and catch a movie there, too,

5. Get a refreshing tea at Chimera Teas

Chimera Teas, 3149 Shenandoah Ave. St. Louis, MO 63104, is situated in the cutest neighborhood. They’re a small spot with a box full of zines that you can read while you sip on your tea. Ugh, perfection!

6. Visit Tower Grove Park

This is your sign to… touch some grass… and then add this to your wedding location list. 4257 Northeast Drive, Saint Louis, MO 63110

7. Eat dinner at Farotto’s Pasta & Pizzeria

God knew what he was doing when he made Italian food. Because wow! I was heavily craving alfredo and … call me crazy but not all alfredo is made equally. However, I know when I’m eating something special. This shrimp alfredo comforted me in ways that chinese food could never! 9525 Manchester Road, Rock Hill, MO 63119

8. End your trip with retail therapy in The Loop!

The Loop offers some really cute and affordable shops, make sure you check out Avalon Exhange, Found and the surrounding shops along the street. Good luck and happy shopping!
