Blaqout identified a disconnect with their audience - inauthenticity. Many of the mainstream or stock images portraying the queer community didn’t feel representative of the normal lives that many people live.
I photographed a campaign that showcases the LGBTQIA+ community doing normal activities such as hanging out with friends, being in healthy romantic relationships, shopping and having a drink with their bestie. By utilizing talent that are a part of the queer community we empowered them and others to take pride in who they are and living in their authenticity.
